3D PRINTING OF MACHINE PARTS

Summerfield Engineering has purchased a 3D printing machine to enable obsolete or bespoke machine tool parts to be made in house. The Prusa 3D printing machine will print plastic parts from several grades of material. The printing machine operates from a program which is generated from Prusa's own software. A solid model is generated and then loaded into the software, this then produces to code to drive the machine.

Items already produced include, CNC jog box holders, electrical contact covers and levers. All of which are not able to be purchased and so must be bespoke made.
